Last Fall I was itching for a warm beach and cruise prices were falling. My husband who doesn’t love flying didn’t want to cruise so soon after our February Carnival Freedom sailing.

Fortunately my brother and sister were willing to go. We booked after the final payment date and got a great deal on an outside obstructed cabin on the December 14th sailing of the Holland America Eurodam. Due to a promotion the third passenger was able to sale just for taxes.
We are all 1 star Mariners but it’s been many years since our last HAL cruise. Two weeks before sailing we got an offer to upgrade to highest available balcony for $99 per person for the first two passengers. We grabbed it and was selected 5104 a category V cabin.
Ports during this cruise were Grand Turk, St. Thomas, San Juan and Half Moon Cay. We had two sea days.
Stay tuned for the next post with a recap of our presail travel day.
