Our final sea day and my best sleep yet. The sun was up already and I found Steve at the lido drinking coffee. I bought lattes when the coffee bar opened at 7:15 and got a free one as it filled up the card.
S1, Steve and I went to the main dining room for Seaday brunch when it opened.
They were having the Suess breakfast this morning on the top level of the dining room.
This time I ordered the tomato soup…
and then the macaroni and cheese with fried chicken.
It was more like chicken tenders. The soup was good but not hot enough. The Mac and cheese was delicious.
Steve had steak and eggs and all was cooked right this time. S1 had the steak and eggs and blueberry pancakes to split with Steve.
She enjoyed the pancakes more than the steak.
When we returned to the cabin, our towel animal and disembarkation information was left with luggage tags.
For some reason, the letter for FTTF disembarkation instructions said we had an early flight. Not sure if we got the wrong letter or that’s the standard.
We then spent the rest of the day relaxing with sleeping, reading and watching scenery.
We ate at the buffet for lunch. One of the lines was turned into a chocolate extravaganza which consisted of a bunch of fruits on sticks and then getting chocolate sauce poured over it. There were several chocolate desserts at the dessert table too. Nothing like the old days.
The buffet was Italian and pretty awful looking. I would have had chopsticks but that line was huge so Steve and I ended up at the deli having sandwiches — grilled cheese for me and turkey on a roll for him.
Before dinner, we went to the Red Frog Pub and ordered drinks from Dwayne for the last time.
The first one was on Carnival with our free drink coupons (any bar after 5 pm last night). Then we had a second, haha. I also had a plate from the Taste Bar.
It was Red Frog Pub items tonight and both were very good.
All four of us made it to dinner tonight.
S2, Steve and I had the chicken tortilla soup.
Sh had two shrimp cocktails. Steve and I also had salad.
S2 and I had steak tacos for the main entree which were delicious.
Steve had the flat iron steak while S1 had prime rib.
For dessert, Steve had carrot cake a la mode…
while S2 and I had cherry pie.
Then we went by the photo shop to pick up the prints we ordered before returning to the cabin to pack. After packing everything except what we needed the next morning, Steve and I went to one last comedy show.
We returned to find one last piece of towel art.
Before turning in for the night it was bags out.
