We decided to enjoy the ship today although our plans do include walking around the dockyard for exercise and to pick up a couple of things.
After our usual coffee from Cafe Al Bacio we had breakfast in the main dining room at 7:30 am. We were seated at a table for six for the first time (always had tables for 2 before).
I tried the apple pancakes but was not a fan.
One of the ladies next to us was not given an English muffin as ordered as the waiter explained “they were running out” and reserving them for Eggs Benedict.
Once we finished breakfast, we left for a walk around the Dockyards.
There was no line to leave the ship. We walked around the outer edge and found a sundries store. Steve was able to find gum. I also bought a gift for our grandson — a pirate kite.
We continued on all the way to the mall.
I took pictures as we walked enjoying the scenery.
After returning to the ship we enjoyed the pool. The loungers aren’t comfortable to me and I moved to the solarium when it got cool which have very comfortable loungers thanks to the pads.(although Steve had no problem staying in his until after 4 pm).
We ate lunch at the outdoor grill and the buffet. I decided to break down and buy a day of Internet.
In hind site, I should have bought a package at the beginning of the cruise. It’s hard to not have news, Facebook and email for so long. 🙂
In the afternoon I took a nap and Captain Kate’s sail away message woke me up about 4:15. We got ready for dinner and had time to have a drink at the Rendezvous bar before dinner. I tried the elderflower blush and Steve had a pina colada.
Wow! I loved my drink.
We got to the dining room 5 minutes early and it was already much busier than any other night. The staff was moving nonstop all evening.
I had the blue cheese soufflé…
and scallop Rockefeller for my starters.
Steve had tomato bisque soup and arugula salad. He didn’t care for the salad but enjoyed the soup. That soufflé was awesome. I’d never had a cheese one before and found out what I was missing!
For entrees, I had the lobster…
and wanted the mushroom risotto on the side. They served them in separate dishes.
Steve ordered two as well: Lobster and lamb.
we enjoyed it all. For dessert, nothing struck my fancy from tonight’s menu so I went with crime brûlée.
Steve enjoyed the baked Alaska.
We returned to the rendezvous and had a second round of our pre-dinner beverages. While there we watched friendly feud which was fun. It was the busiest I’ve ever seen this lounge.
Clocks were set back one hour tonight.
