Last year I had periodontal surgery including a bone graft thanks to gum disease. February was Gum Disease Awareness month (yes, I’m a tad bit late) and this infographic has some facts that might help you avoid surgery and the $3,000 bill!

So many problems happen with oral hygiene because an individual will wait too long to get care, all because they can’t SEE that a problem is happening. This is a great infographic! Thanks for sharing!
Great post and terrific infographic on gum disease and tips to avoid the costly and painful realities asssociated with it. Thanks for sharing.
I LOVE THIS POST! I’m a dental hygienist and oral health is SO important. There is such a huge disconnect between the mouth and the rest of the body it astounds me. April is oral health month so I plan on doing some informative posts. Great infographic 😉
Catherine, I didn’t realize this was your profession. I have two dental hygienists – one at my periodontist’s office and the other at my “regular” dentist’s office. VIP in my life, LOL!
Oral health is more important than most of us realize. Poor oral health can also cause digestive and heart problems.
Yeah, it’s more important than how your smile looks! Thanks for bringing up the health problems some people may not realize can be caused by dental problems.
