I’ve noticed Luna Grill outlets opening around San Diego County so was happy to accept the opportunity to experience dinner there recently. My husband and I dined at the Scripps-Poway location for a authentic and fresh Mediterranean meal.

Experiencing Luna Grill
The location we visited is in a strip mall, but you forget that once you step inside. I am picky about the ambiance in a restaurant and am known to boycott any that have a plain, cafeteria style design. No need to worry about that at Luna Grill. The lighting, colors and even light fixtures combined to make the restaurant warm, welcoming and modern.
I loved the light fixtures decorated with cutlery!
We perused the menu and I noticed the calorie counts were listed which was really helpful and actually steered me in my choices. There are also symbols indicating items that are vegan, all-natural, free-range or vegetarian.
I selected the Chicken Kabob Plate and my husband decided to try the Cornish Hen on the Bone entree. I was shocked as he’s not always the most adventurous diner. Both meals came with a green salad, basmati rice, cucumber yogurt dip, pita bread and your choice of carrots or a grilled tomato garnish.
We both really enjoyed our meals. My chicken was very moist. I and I enjoyed dipping it in the dip for extra flavor. The portion was so big I had enough rice and chicken left for lunch the next day. My husband ate all his meal and really liked it.
The service was prompt and just the right level for this casual dining eatery. We have added Luna Grill to our restaurant rotation for healthy and tasty food. Have you tried Luna Grill?
