I haven’t talked much about the Fitbloggin’ 2013 sponsors other than specific sponsored events. The expo area of the conference seemed so small I thought I would have plenty of time to visit the exhibitors. That proved not to be true so I ended up only doing a flyby to a couple of Saturday.
Note to self for next year is to visit them all the first day!
Reebok sponsored the official conference bag which was filled with swag from various sponsors and the official Fitbloggin socks. Reebok also gave each attendee a Yoga bra top tank as shown below.
Plus their final gift to attendees was a pair of cross-fit shoes, the Nano 2.0.
These are the purple shoes I’m wearing in some of the photos. I love them and really thank Reebok for their generosity!
I stopped by the Nature Made booth for some vitamins and supplements right after zumba — I’m a sweaty mess!
I got a nice water bottle from Laughing Cow Cheese plus a photo opp! The cow’s earrings are hilarious.
It was my first chance to try a Total Gym and I really enjoyed the workout. Part of it reminded me of a pilates reformer workout. Guess what?
I won one for home! It came last week along with a bunch of DVD workouts to follow along. You’ll hear more about it in a later post.
There were booths from Enell (who make sports bras for endowed women and I learned I’m size 3), Soyjoy (who gave me the hint to microwave the bar for 10 seconds for a more flavorful snack), Blue Diamond (with their awesome flavored almonds and artisan crackers), Refuel (nice headband and chocolate milks), Fitness Trampoline (we got a nice tech shirt at check-in and a DVD at the booth), Share-a-sale, and Swork-it.
Amana sponsored a very nice lounge with charging stations, refreshments and a suite of kitchen appliances with an interactive display. I really enjoyed visiting the lounge but never took a single picture (bad blogger!).
Nutrilite gave everyone a bag filled with BodyKey supplies at the end of the closing reception.
There were other sponsors who included items in our bags but didn’t display and I appreciate the items.
Sunday Morning
The agenda for Sunday was very short: a fun run of 1 mile, 5K or 10 K and breakfast. That meant this wonderful experience called Fitbloggin’ was ending. I wanted to walk the 5K route, but due to a fairly early flight had to limit myself to 1 mile. All routes went down to the riverfront and it was a gorgeous morning.
This shot of the river is from my May trip but since I was so busy talking and enjoying the walk no pics were taken. After a quick breakfast (where we received one last gift – a pedometer from Humana) and last good-byes I took a shower before heading to the airport. I met Tara in the hotel lobby to walk to the train station.
Just $2.75 later we’re on the light rail train that takes us from downtown to the airport along with this gorgeous river view as we cross. The views from Portland to Sacramento were beautiful and I saw lots of mountains.
The connecting flight was delayed but eventually I made it home tired but happy. See you all at Fitbloggin’ 2014!
