It’s the 21st and I’m just writing the first Five Things post of the month? Either nothing has been going on or too much! I think it’s the latter. 🙂 Without further ado, here’s what is on my mind.
Charger Recovery
Charger’s pathology report came back and it was nothing other than an infected cyst as the vet had thought. His stitches were removed and he is back to normal. Well, except for the huge patch of skin where his fur needs to grow back.
Cars Update
The “new” car we got from my father-in-law has been repaired. It has a new battery, new motor for the window that stopped working, brake job and fresh oil. I’m just glad I get to drive my car every day again.
My husband went to the DMV and got the title changed and swapped the handicap plates for new ones. I hope I have nothing else to say about cars for quite a while!
Garmin Vivofit
I got a new activity tracker for my birthday. It’s actually more than that. My husband gave me the Garmin Vivofit Fitness band with heart rate monitor.
It takes the place of my watch and Fitbit. I really like being able to see my steps so easily (my Fitbit was clipped inside my clothing) and has the extra benefit of helping me keep my heart rate in the right range when exercising.
TV: Singing Competitions
I started watching The Voice a couple of years ago when American Idol seemed to go off the rails. Harry Connick Jr. won me back to American Idol and I’m still a Voice fan. This means too many hours of TV the last few weeks although I do watch them with the DVR so I can skip the endless amount of commercials.
I think the talent is better on The Voice but I can’t wait to see what Harry is going to do on Idol!
San Diego Travel Show
We love to travel but to go to the travel show meant a trip to Los Angeles which we avoid if at all possible. Not anymore! The Travel & Adventure Show series is coming to San Diego for the very first time on March 29th and 30th at the San Diego Convention Center.
I’ll be there and am looking forward to speakers including Samantha Brown along with the 100+ exhibitors.
What’s been going on with you this month?
