It’s our second sea day on the Harmony of the Seas (and the first day of October).
Sea Day Morning
I was up shortly before 6 and headed to the café promenade for coffee. Decided to get specialty coffee for next serving and realized my keycard was back in the cabin.
Texted Sister M who was down a floor and borrowed her key for a few minutes. Then it was back to Cafe Promenade to order that latte using a diamond drink for a venti almond milk latte with sugar free syrup.
Very good!
We wanted separate venues for breakfast so I went off to the park café and tried a burrito in addition to the egg sandwich.
Even though its sliding off the egg sandwich wins. Had watermelon too.
Then at 9:15 I went to the behind the scenes with entertainers session in the main theater. It was very lightly attended but interesting. They are still short of skaters but that’s because a large percentage come from Russia and Ukraine and the war has impacted their ability to come back to work. There are just 3 female skaters in the shows.
I had a ginger ale between sessions because the captain’s talk was at 10:30. They were funny and informative.
Sometime I went by the towel station and turned in my two towels. Don’t want to be charged for the towels!
Sea Day Afternoon
I ate a couple of hours before my sisters so no one was ready for lunch when I got hungry. I tried brunch in the main dining room but the line was quite long. So I pivoted and went up to the windjammer. I had butter chicken that was quite good.
I couldn’t find the goodbye cake but had a nice chocolate pie slice.
Then it was back to the cabin to pack and nap. Didn’t really do anything else before getting ready for dinner.
Sea Day Evening
Tonight I went with the vegan tomato soup for starter.
It was barley warm so I returned it for a much warmer serving. I do wonder about that large piece of basil.
Then my entrée selection was the roasted turkey dinner.
Loved it all! For dessert I went with the apple blossom ala mode.
We gave extra tips to our wonderful wait team, Gerald and Jose. I had a left an envelope on my bed for Lorelie.
Then I went to the royal theater for the family comedy show. I was surprised that the comedian used some of the same material from the show earlier in the week. Fortunately he had some new to me stuff too.
Then I met my sisters and we headed to studio b for the ice show, 1887: a Journey in Time.
It was interesting and the skaters did a wonderful job. Ordered my third diamond drink today — a mojito to drink during the show.
Then it was off to bed and to get our suitcases out the door before 10 pm.
P.S. Steve finally got power this evening after four days.
