Today the Koningsdam will be in Cabo San Lucas. We don’t arrive until 11 am so there are morning activities to take part in.
Cabo San Lucas Morning
After waking around 6 am I had to move forward my phone time to match the ship’s time which is also local time. Then it was up to the Lido to have coffee and journal.
Once the sun was up, we could see the Mexico shoreline. Once the buffet opened we had breakfast there. My spinach and bacon omelette was very good.
Also had bowl of mixed fruit.
We then went up to the crow’s nest where my brother got a mocha and while sitting there we saw a pod of whales spouting. I left to go to Spanish class at 9 am.
We can now order food. 🙂 I skipped the 10 am coloring class to catch up on my emails and news since my phone was in cell range.
Because of the temperatures we had decided to stay onboard for the day. I went to the pool about 11 am and enjoyed how empty it was.
The pool was a little cool but I did enjoy the hot tub.
Cabo San Lucas Afternoon
Lunch was at the NY deli where I had my first unsatisfactory meal.
Although it looked fantastic the pizza sauce had no flavor.
It was like they forget the herbs and spices altogether. Next time I’ll get the chicken BBQ and see how that is. I topped it off with a chocolate ice cream cone.
Since I didn’t eat all my lunch I joined my brother while he ate in the lido and had to try the turkey and mashed potatoes.
There as a nearby pod of whales there too. I felt sorry for them because all the sightseeing boats were circling them. After lunch I read on the balcony for a while.
This was the view in front to the left.
This was the view to the right. Nice yacht!
Then I took a long nap getting up in time to get ready for dinner.
Cabo San Lucas Evening
The dining room was even emptier than other nights.
I haven’t mentioned that we enjoyed the bread choices every evening and they did change.
My tortilla soup was fantastic although it doesn’t look like much.
Earlier today I received a call from the dining room team because one of the options I had selected last evening was no longer on the menu (coconut crusted shrimp). I changed it to a garden salad.
Lots of salad for such a tiny amount of dressing. 🙂 The entree, diablo style mahi mahi, was very good.
The fish was moist. We had a problem with our initial dessert order. The banana tartin wasn’t a banana. It was a plantain so we both returned it and ordered other desserts.
My brother had the blackberry crisp and I had the whiskey torte.
After dinner I went to the Lincoln stage center and enjoyed the last few numbers of the British invasion set. Very good!
Then had a cocktail in billboard onboard bar while the trivia finished.
Back to the room to read my book and watch food network. I found an elephant there!
My brother was still hungry so we had room service before bed. I enjoyed my chicken quesadilla but paid for it with indigestion. Note to self do not eat so close to bedtime.
