After our last time change (until going home anyway) I was up at 5 am. Today’s the last sea day on our Norwegian Epic transatlantic crossing.
Morning at Sea
I decided to journal in the cabin versus hauling my ipad up and worrying about it. When opening the Freestyle Daily looking for the time the coffee bar opened I found a flyer for Saturday’s customs and border protection inspection.
Our time to go with our passports isn’t until 10 am! That takes a big chunk of our day away from us. It might be a good time to be a foreign citizen since they can go between 7 and 9 am. Oh well!
We decided to have breakfast at Taste when it opened.
Service was very slow and Sister T.’s biscuit benedict was cold when it was served.
The maitre d quickly resolved that. I started with a bowl of muesli.
That was followed with waffles and sausage.
The rest of the morning was spent at the pool enjoying the warm air (in the shade) and the pool.
Afternoon at Sea
For lunch Sister T. and I went to the Taste restaurant which was quite crowded. It was the same menu we had the first day.
I went with the chicken pho and the fish and chips.
Sister T. Had a repeat of her menu except we skipped dessert. We are cutting back!
Afterwards I took care of errands like cashing out the remaining onboard credit I had (added it to the casino and then cashed out) and buying the embarkation photo. I have .13 cents non refundable credit now and I’m fine losing that!
Evening at Sea
After a cocktail at Shakers, we went to Shanghai’s for dinner. The main dining room menu wasn’t that appealing (sorry I forgot to take a picture!).
I had fried potstickers to start.
This was followed by hot and sour soup and a spring roll.
My entree was the beef fun chow.
Sister T. chose the sweet and sour pork. We split the combination fried rice and skipped dessert again.
I was wiped out as the time changes caught up with me and went straight to bed.
STEPS: 5,647 and 1.8 miles.
