It is a sea day for the Symphony of the Seas and we were up often during the night but slept good despite the terribly hard bed. I’m going to see if the room steward can add something to make it more comfortable.
Sea Day Morning
I met Steve for coffee at cafe promenade. When the Diamond lounge opened we went there for pre-breakfast snack and specialty coffee.
Actual breakfast was at Johnny Rockets shortly after they opened. We had a nice table outside.
Our food was tasty but our pancakes and french toast were cold. I think they went cold while Steve’s eggs and potatoes were cooking.
After breakfast we saw our room steward and asked for an extra towel and something to make the extremely hard bed more comfortable. He ordered a topper for us. I also took a photo of the balcony.
On Facebook someone posted the path of the ship last night showing our return for evacuation.
Mid morning we had the top tier party.
Steve selected a rum punch and I enjoyed a mimosa.
We had a chance to watcher braver people than me climb the wall.
After the presentation we had entertainment from the amazing Aqua Theater performers.
This band was playing when we left and enjoyed their music for a bit before perusing the candy store.
I always think of the movie “Big” when I see Zoltar.
I was surprised there’s not much chocolate there. Decided to get a drink at Schooners and people watch on the promenade before heading to lunch in the Windjammer.
Sea Day Afternoon
Lunch was okay but just so hectic finding what to eat. This is what I ended up with…
Followed by a nice piece of pie.
After lunch we decided to give the topper a test and had a wonderful nap. Shortly after we laid down there was a knock on the door and before Steve could get there, the door opened with a room service delivery of petit fours.
Not sure who they’re from but they were tasty. I was saving the chocolate covered strawberry for after dinner BUT the room steward cleared the plates when he did the night service. I snoozed and lost .
Speaking of snoozing, we had a lovely two hour nap in the softer bed and caught up after our exhausting Friday/Saturday. Had afternoon tea at promenade cafe before getting ready for the evening. It’s “formal” night. Remember, our household goods are still in a pod so we’re wearing the best clothes we have but not as nice as we normally would.
Sea Day Evening
Dinner menu tonight was “french” and I wasn’t excited about anything.
I would prefer to eat less beef but the beef tenderloin looked the best to me so I ordered that. First we let our waiter know we had 7 pm show reservations so we could have expedited service. They should have made the show time 7:15.
I had the butternut squash soup to start while Steve had another Caesar salad.
He had the chicken cordon bleu for entree (no pic). The tenderloin delivered on it’s name and was wonderful.
We both had the apple cobbler for dessert and enjoyed it.
The ice rink was open we we got there and picked the best seats not blocked for suites — in the corner where skaters go in and out – front row. We had plenty of time to get a cocktail while waiting. The show was very good and they seemed to have a lot more skaters than on the Harmony.
Lots of different costumes throughout the show.

Afterwards we stopped at the pub to use our last free drinks and I had some pizza.
This bear was in our room when we got back.
Note: couldn’t get paper compass until day 3. Hate the new system.
