One of the highlights this past week was enjoying a blogger dinner with Denise at Seasons 52 in San Diego. What was unusual for me was going out on a work night. Not only that but I did it again the next night!
The second evening I went to Dream Dinners to put together six meals for us. Follow that by a trip to Memphis two days later for less than a day to pick up my grandson for two weeks. We spent the rest of the labor day weekend taking him to the pool and the beach.
Next weekend will be the wild animal park and Legoland! I’m going to go back to work today for a rest. 🙂
Food Plan
Confession: I haven’t been tracking. When I’m out of my normal routine I find it hard to stick to. Other than Saturday when I ate junk food during our travels back to San Diego the choices have been good.
The Seasons 52 meal included this interesting blistered shishito peppers appetizer. It was around 250 calories for the entire dish. I’ll be sharing more about the Fall menu there later this week.
Thursday evening I made this zucchini lasagna with a Hello Fresh kit. The noodles were the zucchini part so it was a healthy version of this dish wiht lean ground beef and most of the cheese is what you see on top.
Weigh-In
I didn’t weigh in this week so no news there. We’ll leave the totals where they were last week for now which is:
-37.0 Pounds
Fitness
Brik kicked off at Kaia Fit last week…. and I haven’t made it back yet. Those school night activities and travels kept me from making a 5 am class. I don’t know how much I will make it with my grandson here for two week.
Other activities besides the huge amount of airport walking this weekend included swimming at the beach. It was an awesome day!
Challenges Ahead
With our visitor, I will be concentrating on him and his care instead of me. My goal is to track all week. I’ll come back and let you know how it went next Monday.
Did you hit any bumps this past week?
