Safe spaces was the topic at Saturday’s Weight Watchers meeting. You’re probably thinking personal safety but it was about strategies to make your kitchen and home weight loss friendly. One lady said she and her husband keep their snacks in separate cupboards so she’s not tempted by his cookies and chips.
This hasn’t been a problem for me this time around because my husband has changed his eating habits and those things just aren’t in the house. Are you tempted by other family member’s treats?
Weigh-In
It was another good week at the scale. Eating more plant-based meals seems to be agreeing with me. I lost another 1.8 pounds which makes the
Total Loss: 17 Pounds
I’m shooting for my next five pound star by the end of the month which will also coincide with losing 10% of my starting weight.
Weekly Movement
Exercise didn’t go as planned because I’m starting to be bothered with pain from the Achilles area on my right foot after a longer walk. This was a problem along with the piriformis syndrome last year but the doctor kept saying it was all related.
I wasn’t as certain as she and certainly don’t believe it now as I have no pain the tushie. I’m going to baby it a little and do lots of calf stretches and see how it goes. I still got in 3 walks and 2 pilates classes.
Challenges Ahead
Travel is on my horizon starting with a three day business trip this week and then a four day personal trip next week. It’s the first traveling I’ve done since my recommitment to weight loss and fitness. I am packing some snacks and have a plan but will feel better after getting through the first trip.
How did your week towards great health go?
