I made it to my regular Weight Watchers meeting Saturday morning and was happy to have a friend from work join me. The topic again had to do with breakfast and how you could make them more filling with what they call power foods. These are lean proteins, whole grains, fruit and vegetables for the most part.
I do this already so although the information wasn’t helpful to me I did get a new recipe idea. Basically, it was my crockpot oatmeal recipe but made with quinoa.
The weekly handout had a page on the Pilates One Hundred. Oh yes, I know (and hate) it well!
Weigh-In
The scale continues to move although at a slower pace. I guess that’s to be expected. I did lose .6 pound (same as last week) which brings the total loss to:
27.2 Pounds
Weekly Movement
Saturday I earned the Fitbit award for 20,000 steps. Amazing that something that is FREE (the award) could mean so much to me! I had an early lab appointment Friday so didn’t get in two sessions of Pilates.
We did get in our weekly walking including 8 miles on Saturday! This is the longest we’ve done in years so it was pretty exciting! Follow that up with a few miles at Legoland yesterday and we are ready for the off day today.
Challenges Ahead
This week is a challenge with my grandson and his mom visiting. We’re eating out more so I’m try to meet that challenge with lots of exercise, good choices and water. I’m sure using my XBox a lot more than usual and those games are active!
How did your week towards great health go?

Aren’t those Fitbit awards fun? I get so excited when I see a new notification in my inbox and I usually share on Twitter & Facebook. I think it’s the same principle as the little gold foil stars from elementary school: look how well I’ve done!

Denise, that’s a great example of how one feels with those awards. My only complaint about the Fitbit is that I forget to put it back on when I take it off for airport security. That’s not really their fault, but I get frustrated when I miss out on counting all the walking one does while traveling.

Congratulations on the award! Free or not it’s still an accomplishment 🙂

Thanks, Khaleef. That’s so true!
