The topic of discussion of this week’s Weight Watchers meeting was about socializing without food as the primary focus. That might mean having a bowling outing or games evening instead of a potluck or dinner out with friends. Looking forward to Thanksgiving we talked about what we can plan that wouldn’t involve food over the long weekend.
I’m going to Florida for the holidays so will go to the beach one day and attend a local meeting another.
Nutrition
My husband and I stuck to the meal plan schedule which included two days of traveling for business. My flight home Thursday was diverted to Phoenix due to fog here in San Diego. We finally made it home three hours later but I did do some stress eating with chocolate chip cookies I bought at the Phoenix airport.
I don’t make the best choices when under stress. It’s definitely something to work on during this journey.
Weigh-In
I tracked points every day (even those cookies) and ended up with a loss. I was down 1.8 making the total loss:
– 25.2 pounds
Challenges Ahead
I’m looking forward to this next week at home. It’s the first one in over a month! I have meals planned for every night (including Taco night at Chipotle Tuesday).
The only challenge will be keeping my energy up for exercise most days.
How did your week towards great health go?

Wow. Congratulations for losing 25. That’s not an easy feat.

Awesome week! I’m pretty jealous of all your traveling!
Denise @ Do you have that in my size??? says
Almost a two pound loss – go, you! I’ve definitely found the “socialize without food” thing to be a challenge since I refocused on making a healthy lifestyle for our family. We try to limit the food “splurges” as well as doing some compensating activity whenever possible (like walking to dinner or walking around downtown while waiting for Evita to start this weekend) rather than doing without, and that seems to be working for us.
It was great seeing you at Pilates on Sunday, even if I can only do about 2/3 of the class. (So frustrating!)
