We’re ready for today’s sea day after three port days in a row. I joined Steve in the Crow’s nest for coffee shortly after 6 am.
Sea Day Morning
We went to breakfast in the Lido where I had a bagel and oatmeal.
I went ahead and showered with the broken head since we don’t know when it’s getting fixed. My system was to get wet, put down the shower hose, use shampoo, soap, or whatever and then pick up the hose to rinse. Repeat.
I went by the travel agency chat to turn in a survey regarding their sponsored shore excursions and enjoyed talking about excursions with others on our tour yesterday. I guess bus five had their tour cut short because the bus was late and didn’t enjoy it as well.
At 9:45, I collected our passports and after securing them went to the Port talk.
Enough passengers complained that Holland America headquarters agreed to move the talk to the theater instead of the silly Q&A in smaller lounges. It was packed so I had crappy seat where I couldn’t see entire screen.
I also canceled a shore excursion for St. Anthony’s that I was not excited about to give Steve a break from another bus tour. Our refundable on-board credit is now over $1100.
The weather was windy and wet most of the day. Tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy but no rain so fingers crossed!
Our shower was fixed when we got back to the room.
Sea Day Afternoon and Evening
We decided to have room service for lunch. I had chili with very good cornbread but no butter for it.
My pulled pork sandwich was good.
Steve had club panini and chocolate cake.
My dessert was a couple of peanut butter cookies I’d snatched at coffee chat earlier today.
The afternoon was very lazy with naps, reading, and enjoying a beverage in the crow’s nest before we went to the cabin to get ready for dinner.
Here is tonight’s menu.
Steve and I both had the crab Louise salad and quite enjoyed it.
Then I had the cream of mushroom soup.
I dare say I enjoyed it more than the one in Pinnacle Grill. For entree Steve had the lamb chops.
My choice was hte tournedo Rossini.
Desserts were Paris Brest for me and coconut raspberry tart for Steve.
We skipped the show tonight and read in the cabin until bedroom. Laundry was delivered at 9 pm. Below is today’s daily program. Click the image for the full PDF.
