Tuesday is our 19th wedding anniversary but I will be flying to Sacramento for business. Since Mother’s Day is the following weekend I’m not sure when we’ll officially celebrate.
That’s okay because nearly everyday is a celebration of finding the right one. Enough mushiness, let’s get to my favorites from this past week.
Around the Web
Here are some of the best blog posts I read this week.
Curious about foam rollers? Don’t miss the basics of foam rolling at The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans.
Cauldrons and Cupcakes teaches us how to roast a whole chicken. Honestly, I’ve never done it; but would like to get away from the sodium in those Costco chickens.
Read these 10 life lessons from running (I would say any team sport) from Live from La Quinta.
The Gracious Pantry shares what to eat instead of chips when you’re craving them.
Join the discussion about whether 3 or 6 meals a day is better for weight loss at Simple Nourished Living.
FemFusion Fitness has a list of healthy, fit gifts for Mother’s Day. I would add an activity tracker to the options.
Enjoy this recipe for roasted Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes from Gluten-Free Best Friends.
Tech Savvy Mama shares 48 binge-worthy show to stream. It’ll help you get through until your favorite shows are back in the Fall.
Giveaways
Did you already enter the giveaway for the Healing Natural Oils Rosacea formula? Entries close Tuesday.
Two Savvy Sisters is hosting a giveaway for Jamba at-home smoothie kits. Three winners will be selected after entries close May 8th.
Enter to win a $250 FTD.com gift card at The Centsible Life before entries close tomorrow.

Enter to win a Universe Knows prize pack at Weight Off My Shoulders before entries close May 8th.
Baby Blues to Running Shoes is giving away a Bondi Band headband. It closes tomorrow.
That’s it for this edition of Weekly Chronicles. Have a great week!

Happy anniversary! Hope you’re able to find some time to celebrate. Thanks for sharing my post. I agree that most sports provide a lot of life lessons, but I still feel that running is something special and adults and children learn so much. As our cross country t-shirts say: Our sport is your sport’s punishment. 🙂 Anything that hard must teach us a lot.

Thanks so much for featuring my gift guide! And you’re right — a fitness tracker would be a great addition. Happy (almost) Mother’s Day!
