We spent last week in Cancun and it was my first vacation since switching to the ketogenic way of eating. It is a timeshare resort so the room included a full kitchen.
I’m happy to say it was easier than I anticipated and gave me confidence I can vacation while Keto. 🙂
Progress
The best news is that not only did I eat 100% keto on the trip but also lost over a pound! My weight loss total as of last Sunday was 14.2 pounds.
Blood ketones were in nutritional ketosis each day so I was happy with that too.
New Products
Foot cramps is still a problem occasionally when I travel despite taking potassium and magnesium supplements. My first KetoKrate included Ultima Replenisher (affiliate link) which is keto friendly.
I had one packet every day in water and it did the trick; no cramps all week despite sweating a lot.
Another product I bought in anticipation of our vacation was cocktail flavoring. RSVP Skinnies (affiliate link) comes in multiple flavors and I got this variety pack.
I had the margarita mix with tequila and soda and the cranberry twist with vodka sodas.
Very good!

The hogfish with veggies is top left, next is the shrimp caesar salad, stuffed pork tenderloin (I didn’t eat the mashed potatoes) and ribeye steak that I made last a couple of meals.
The pictures below are my airport meals.
More food pics from the week.
Again I didn’t eat the rice in the fajitas picture; my husband helped out there.
Looking Forward
This week I traveled to North Carolina (the day after we returned from Cancun) to see Dr. Eric Westman as a HealCare patient. There’ll be more to come on that soon. Otherwise, I’m looking forward to staying on the ground the rest of September.
