There’s no place like home and I really enjoyed being in mine all week. Plus the week ended with seeing three great bands in concert: the Doobie Brothers, the Zac Brown Band and the Eagles.
Highlights
This week was the first one where we had to give our cat fluids ourselves. We quickly learned that even though I have a medical background, my husband is much better with the needle than me so he’s the poker. I’m better giving the pills though. 🙂
It was a busy work week and before you knew it my brother arrived Friday morning to go to the concert with me. He resides in the great state of Montana. We had a wonderful dinner at home that evening. After lunch Saturday we headed downtown.
Since parking is expensive, I parked at my son’s and we took a ride-share to the hotel where we were staying which cost about $7. The hotel was 1 1/2 miles from the ballpark so we took the trolley from the stop behind the hotel to the gaslamp where it was a short walk to the park. Security wasn’t too bad and soon I was getting ready for Hotel California. 🙂
The concert was fantastic.
The Doobie Brothers played for a little over an hour, Zac Brown Band for 90 minutes or so and the Eagles for nearly 2 1/2 hours.
The sound quality was fantastic and we enjoyed every minute. I think they did a nice job of splitting the vocals previously sung by the late Glenn Frey between Vince Gill and his son, Deacon Frey.
