This Tuesday is Election Day 2018. I already mailed in my ballot since I’ll be out of town but want to encourage all of you to get out and vote. It’s the most powerful way we can give our elected officials feedback; good or bad.
Did you remember to turn your clocks back? Here’s a friendly reminder so you don’t show up too early for any events today. Our ballot had a state proposition to allow daylight savings time to be eliminated in California. I’m hoping it passes so we can quit messing with our body clocks twice a year for an outdated purpose.
Highlights
It was a good week at home. I went into the office on Wednesday to be one of the judges for the Halloween costume and workspace decoration contests. I especially like the group costumes; there’s a lot of creativity. Despite the pumpkins full of candy throughout the space, I didn’t have one piece.
Thursday was book club evening and I enjoyed seeing most of the regulars. Our fearless leader got married yesterday so she understandably skipped (Best wishes Jen!).
Yesterday we got the good news that our pup doesn’t have liver cancer; however he does have a nodule on one of his adrenal glands that may be causing the liver enlargement. He’s going in next week to be tested for Cushing’s disease.
It’s holiday movie season again! I love these movies. Hallmark is offering 22 new movies this year along to increase their already large library of Christmas-themed shows. Freeform is kicking off the season by scheduling a classic holiday film every day in November. See the schedule here. Of course, they’ll have their 25 days of Christmas starting December 1st.
