Working from home the first couple of weeks was all rainbows and unicorns. No commute, ultra casual dress (no shoes!) and a great work environment in terms of noise and view. A few weeks later, I see the disadvantages here and there.
The two I will focus on for now are getting out of the house and making an effort to connect with co-workers outside of business conversation.
Highlights
My big accomplishment some much needed decluttering in my closets and dresser. I’m donating a bunch and storing some for that future weight loss (not working it hard right now).
We made plans to see “A Quiet Place” this weekend. Other than that, it’s just the usual household chores.
Favorite Reads
Here are a few of my favorite blog reads this past week.
Hip2Save is back on this list with 10 best dry shampoos; something I’ve been looking into since I only wash my hair a couple of times a week. A friend recommended Batiste.
The more I learn about Ruth Bader Ginsburg the more I admire her. In advance of a new documentary Time Goes By dishes on Notorious RBG, a feminist bad-ass!
Nomadic Matt‘s guide on how to visit Salisbury, England brought back memories of visiting the city 16 years ago with my mom, sister and aunt. The cathedral is stunning!
Before my first trip to Italy a few years ago, I struggled with what shoes to bring. Adventures with Sarah shares reader’s favorite travel shoes.
Retirement Reflections had me laughing while reading Molly’s updated semi-retirement plans. I can already relate to some on the plans.
Looking Ahead
I’m in the home office this coming week but am taking a short in-state trip next Saturday for the sole purpose of meeting the requirements for a Southwest A List promotion. I needed 3 round trips by April 30th to get A list the rest of 2018. Crazy? Maybe but A list is valuable.
Hope you have a great week!
