After last year’s session with the 30 day shred (which lasted one day) I vowed never again to put myself through such pain in the name of fitness. Does getting fit mean excruciating pain when attempting to gracefully sit and pee? I feel like an 80 year old and want a grab bar and elevated toilet!
What happened? I attended a new to me group fitness class at the gym titled “Chiseled” and is the replacement for body-pump since the new gym management doesn’t license Les Mills classes. The description indicated it was good for all levels including beginner which meant me.
I made it through the class okay, but two days later it hurts to move … anything. My arms, back, chest, legs (front and back) all hurt! And I’m thinking about going back!
What I Did This Week
This past weekend I attended the Women Get Social – San Diego conference but still managed to get in four exercise sessions. Here’s the summary.
Thursday: Walked 2 miles. Due to morning rain we walked after work. I was surprised how much harder it felt than the same route at 6 am!
Saturday: Walked 3 miles. Took the opportunity to get in a pre-conference walk and enjoy the scenery (see picture above).
Monday: Chiseled fitness class. Enough said above.
Tuesday: Walked 2 miles. Took a minute off our pace on the same route from last week which was nice.
I didn’t’ get in a second strength training session but hope to this week. How was your fitness week?
Denise @ Do you have that in my size??? says
Do you have any Pilates classes scheduled for this week? I’m going to a 6:00 pm Level 1 class on Tuesday that I’m hoping will work out for the long term with my work and school schedules.
